Position Overview
Viverlink Networks is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Field Engineer responsible for executing advanced network infrastructure deployments and providing expert-level on-site technical support for enterprise environments.
This role requires strong hands-on experience with networking hardware, infrastructure installations, and complex troubleshooting in live production environments.
The successful candidate must demonstrate exceptional communication skills, technical leadership, and professional discipline while working in client facilities
Core Responsibilities
Network Infrastructure Deployment
- Install and configure enterprise networking hardware including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless systems
- Perform rack and stack operations in server cabinets and data center environments
- Execute structured network rollouts across multi-site environments
- Verify ISP handoffs and connectivity readiness
Advanced Troubleshooting
- Diagnose complex network connectivity issues
- Perform physical and logical network diagnostics
- Support escalation cases requiring on-site engineering intervention
Infrastructure Support
- Support deployment of servers, storage systems, and virtualization hosts
- Assist with network segmentation and VLAN implementation
- Verify cable termination quality and network integrity
Technical Documentation
Maintain professional communication with internal engineering teams and client IT departments
Produce clear field reports and infrastructure documentation
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Networking, Computer Science, or related field
OR - College diploma in a technical discipline with extensive professional experience
Certifications
Candidates should hold one or more of the following:
Equivalent industry certification
Cisco CCNA or higher
CompTIA Network+
CompTIA A+
Professional Experience
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience working with IT infrastructure
- Proven experience installing and troubleshooting networking equipment
- Experience working inside racks, server rooms, or data centers
- Experience with enterprise networking environments
Language & Communication Requirements
Candidates must demonstrate exceptional professional communication skills.
Requirements include:
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to clients and engineering teams
- Professional documentation and reporting ability
Bilingual candidates (English/French) are strongly preferred
